有志の方に実際にFOX本社へ送った英文メールを教えていただきました。

Many Japanese people are astonished at the sad news,
"FOX decided to employ new voice actors and actress in The Simpsons Movie."
FOX is going to change the voice actors and actress who have acted the Simpsons for over 10 years.
Many Japanese Fans of The Simpsons object to this idea.
The feelings of them are full of anger and disappointment,
so it is necessary to stop this idea, and there are three reasons.

First, the voice actors have played the roles of the Simpsons for over ten years,

and some of them even say, "I will never go to see The Simpsons Movie if the voice actors are changed to new ones."
It is obvious that The Simpsons Movie will fail at Box Office unless they give up this idea.

Consequently, The idea of changing casts in The Simpsons Movie should be given up.

We need your help! Japenese FOX betrayed us.
Japanese people who didn't know The Simpsons may go to see its movie by casting TV stars,
but it is evident that Japanese FOX loses the trust of old Japanese Fans of The Simpsons.

有志の方（Nさん）による英文メールを書く際のポイント


私は何度か「日本語で抗議文作った、これを英訳して」という要望に応えてきましたが、
日本語の文章の流れのまま英語に訳すと、論理的ではない、おかしな文章になることが多々ありました。
これは日本語と英語の構造の違いによるもののようです。
端的に言うと、日本語の文章は主張を最後に述べ、英語の文章は主張を最初に述べる、その違いです。
これから英語で抗議文を作ろうとしている人は、
まず最初に主張したいことを述べ、その主張を補強するように文章をもっていき、
（理由を箇条書きでもいいから述べる）
最後にまた主張したいことを述べてみて下さい。
そういう流れで作った日本語の文章を自動翻訳で英訳すると、
相手に何が言いたいのかが伝わりやすくなり、
最後まで読んでもらえると思います。
